What it does
Offline conversion tracking only works when every booked call makes it from your phone system into Google Ads. In practice, some don't — a call arrives without a Google click ID, falls outside the conversion window, or gets filtered out by a pool's rule. The Conversion Troubleshooter puts both sides on one screen:
- The conversions Google Ads recorded for the range you pick.
- The CallRail calls and form submissions PPC TNT has for the same range.
Lined up together, the gaps become obvious: which calls reached Google, which didn't, and which "conversions" don't correspond to a real call or form at all.
Filters
Two filters narrow the reconciliation to the leads you care about, plus a date range:
First-time callers only
Limit the view to the first call from each phone number, matching how attribution counts a lead — so repeat calls from existing customers don't muddy the comparison.
Specific tracking numbers
Pick the exact CallRail tracking numbers to include, so you can isolate one campaign's line or exclude numbers that were never meant to feed Google Ads.
How it fits with the rest of PPC TNT
The Troubleshooter is the diagnostic companion to the conversion pipeline it reports on:
- Call Tracking & Attribution is what captures the click ID and uploads qualifying calls to Google Ads as offline conversions.
- The CallRail integration and your forms are the "actual leads" side of the reconciliation.
- The Dashboard is where those attributed calls turn into revenue and ROAS once the plumbing is verified.
FAQ
Why don't my Google Ads conversions match my calls?
Usually because a call never carried a Google click ID (gclid), the call fell outside the conversion window, or the upload was filtered out by your pool's rule. The Troubleshooter lines the two sources up so you can see which calls made it to Google and which didn't.
What can I filter by?
First-time callers only, a specific set of CallRail tracking numbers, and a date range. Those filters are saved per workspace so you don't have to re-set them each visit.
Does it change anything in Google Ads?
No — it's read-only. It reconciles and reports. Uploading and retracting conversions is handled by the call-tracking and conversion-sync flow.
